Rimfire Rifle Scope
Rimfire Rifle Scope
what is the best scope for air rifle and ruger .22LR?
I have Diana 350 magnum and Ruger (10/22) .22LR.So,I want to buy just one scope for both.I use them for small game and target shooting.I heard about Leupold vx1 2-7x28 and vx2 3-9x33.However,the leupold has two model of vx2 3-9x33 for air rifle and rimfire.I really don't know both are the same and just has different name?
Also, any other good scope, what brand what model???
You definitely want the one made for air guns. Due to the unique forward recoil of spring action air guns, scopes made specifically for them have the reticle anchored more securely. You MIGHT damage a rimfire scope by shooting with it on an air rifle, but you aren't going to damage an air rifle scope by shooting it on your .22.
In my opinion, you should just grab a Bushnell from Wal-Mart. I can hit a nickel with my 10/22 with a $39.99 3-9x Bushnell at 50' with no problem.
In fact, at 25 feet, I like shoot the butt ends of used .22 shells. Go with this instead of the Leupold, and you can get one for each gun so you don't have to sight them in every time you move the scope, which you WILL have to do. On top of that, you'll save enough money to buy another gun.
