Picatinny Rail Covers
If I attach a flatline barrel to my Tippmann 98 custom, can I just reattach the carry handle/sight rail after?
I understand that there's a piece to the flatline barrel that goes on top of the picatinny/dovetail rails on the tippmann 98. If I were to attach said flatline barrel to my tippmann 98 custom, could I be ale to simply reattatch an m4 style carry handle on top of the flatline barrel (the piece that covers the picatinny/dovetail rails, of course)? And if it can't be done, could I simply get the barrel minus the part which covers the picatinny/dovetail rails anywhere? Thanks.
If you want to attach a cary handle onto thin, flimsy plastic, and hope your barrel shroud doesn't break or warp, go on ahead and try it. I wouldn't advise it.
You can't just buy the barrel, but you can buy the flatline assembly, and then just not put the shroud onto the marker. Better yet, you can buy a quickthread flatline, which screws on similar to a normal barrel, and doesn't cover up the dovetails on the receiver.
