Bushnell Banner Dusk
Bushnell Banner Dusk
I have a Firearms Co. Alpine .30-06 and I'm wondering if anyone has heard of these and can give me a review.?
I just bought a Bushnell Banner Dusk and Dawn 3-9x40 scope for it and i have yet to sight it in. It has a mauser 98 action in it. One problem i noticed is the bolt touches the scope when i pull it back. I will be shooting Mule deer, Elk and Moose with it. Any insight on these rifles would be great. Thanks
"Your rifle was manufactured by The Firearms Co. Ltd. of Bridgwater, England. They have been making the Alpine Mauser-action sporting rifle since about 1965. Rifles came with a plastic-finished wood stock in 243 Winchester, 270 Winchester, 30-06 or 308 Winchester. Rifles weighed about 7.5 pounds and had a five round magazine. Barrels were 24 inches and the sights were a hooded ramped blade and an adjustable Williams ramp. The K98k actions for Alpine rifles were originally refurbished war surplus, but later they were purchased from Belgium (FN) and Spain (Santa Barbara)."
That is a long action rifle and you scope is probably for a short action. You may need to review you choice of scope and mounting method. In good shape it is worth about $300.00.
